During the ‘Vakbeurs Facilitair’ (an exhibition for Facility Management) on 13 and 14 januari 2010 at Den Bosch the Dutch national championships were held. Three teams consisting of three Cleaning Professionals competed for first place, which entitles them to go to Lisbon in December to represent the Netherlands in the Cleaning Competition of Euroskills.
The competitors demonstrated their professionalism while carrying out various assignments such as stripping and re-applying polymer finish, cleaning of a patient’s room in the Health Care, cleaning of an office, etc.
An impressing demonstration that showed that Cleaning is a profession. It also showed that a solid education and training are the basis for a Professional Cleaner.
The competition also demonstrated the level of professionalism Hago demands of its employees.
Award Ceremony
During an Award Ceremony the winners were complimented by Jos de Goey (director Skills Netherlands and President of ESPO), Ruud Danklof (director Hago) and observer Mees Weststrate. The winning team consists of Lindsay van der Velden, Dwayne Hoekstra en Koen Meevissen.
This team will represent the Netherlands during the European finals at Euroskills Lisbon in December 2010.

During Interclean in Amsterdam, from 26 till 29 april, the Dutch team did demo's in cleaning patient's rooms and stripping and sealing of lino floors.An often heard comment was: "Good to see young people working in professional cleaning!"

On 25 November at Cortenbach Castle, Headquarters of the Vebego Holding, a contract will be signed between Ruud Danklof, director Hago Netherlands and Jos de Goey, Managing Director of Skills Netherlands and President of ESPO (European Skills Promotion Organization).
The duration of the contract will be three years, Hago will participate as Official Partner of Skills Netherlands in Euroskills Lisbon in 2010, Worldskills London 2011 and Euroskills Spa in 2012. The participating teams will be supplied by Hago exclusively. SVS will render support in training the teams. With this participation Hago expects to contribute towards further professionalism in the Cleaning Industry.
At Facilitair Den Bosch in januari 2010 and Skills Masters in Ahoy in march 2010 candidates of Hago will participate in the selection competitions to decide which team will represent the Netherlands at Euroskills Lisbon.

A meeting of the Experts will be held in Vienna on 10 and 11 december. Several topics will be discussed, amongst others the CIS files. The files will be 'fine-tuned' and we expect to finish that job. Another item on the agenda will be PR for Euroskills during the Interclean Exhibition in April 2010 in Amsterdam.
Our colleagues from Finland have decided to join our discussions, they will be very welcome. Also our colleagues from the Czech Republic have expressed their interest, we hope to be able to greet them in Vienna. |

The team of Experts has been meeting regularly since Euroskills 2008 in Rotterdam. A completely revised Technical Outline was made and submitted to the ESPO board in July 2009. Accordingly, new CIS-files for marking are being made now. They will be finished at the december meeting in Vienna.
